oarding school junior, Stacey Brown, is having embarrassing nightmares that tell her that her best friend and roommate Drea is in trouble. In the past when Stacy ignored her dreams, someone close to her died. She refuses to allow that to happen again.

tacey sets out to find a psycho stalker, who may be targeting not only Drea but also their arch rival Veronica. Stacey is sure something is off about Veronica's story but she can't risk not believing her. Could the stalker be someone they all know? Drea wants to blow the whole thing off as an elaborate joke, but Stacey intends to protect her whether she wants protection or not. When Stacey's premonition begins to come true, she finds herself in fatal danger.

o complicate the plot, Stacey has a crush on Drea's sometimes boyfriend Chad. Stacey takes false hope from their on-again, off-again relationship, only to be disappointed whenever they reunite. Now Chad is acting strange around Drea. It's one of their off times and he seems to be fed up with their entire situation.

his is the first in a series of four books about Stacey Brown, who uses Wicca spells taught to her by her grandmother. The suspense is weak, but readers will find Stacey an interesting protagonist.
