elicity Langley, who's always yearned to marry a duke, is close to her dream. She has been writing to the Duke of Hollindrake for four years and he has agreed to marry her. Felicity decides that since he has not taken the initiative to meet with her, she will introduce herself.

aptain Thatcher arrives on Felicity's doorstep, planning to inform her that it was his grandfather who exchanged letters with her, and that he - his grandfather's heir - does not want to marry her. When Felicity opens the door, she mistakes Thatcher for her new footman. He does not correct the mistake and the charade begins. Thatcher ends up being charmed by Felicity and falls in love. But he can't marry her because he will only marry for love and knows that she wants any man with a Duke's title.
