Harlan Coben's Tell No One has been called his break-out novel. After writing seven enjoyable mystery-thrillers about sports agent Myron Bolitar, Coben tried something different this time and struck gold - it was nominated for a Mystery Writers of America Edgar award for best novel, became a New York Times best-seller, and is in pre-production as a major movie.

All this acclaim is well-deserved and readers may have trouble putting the book down once they begin it. Pediatrician David Beck is the likeable hero, whose wife Elizabeth was murdered by a serial killer eight years before the book begins. David has never really recovered from losing his childhood sweetheart, so when he receives email purporting to be from Elizabeth, he grasps at the chance to contact her. Searching for Elizabeth turns out to be very dangerous when David crosses paths with one of the country's richest men.

Coben introduces a cast of memorable characters including David's closest friend (and his sister's domestic partner) Shawna; a New York drug dealer whose hemophiliac young son is one of David's patients; and a truly scary Korean thug. Although the plot contains one too many twists by the end, readers will really enjoy the ride. Coben is working on another stand-alone thriller and we hope it is just as thrilling.
