ori McGillicuddy's dad always gives the same advice at the beginning of summer. He tells her brother to take care of his sister and he tells Lori to watch out around the boys next door. Lori is in the habit of watching out around the boys next door. Especially Sean Vader.
L
ori has worked every summer for the last three years at the Vaders' Marina. She's always been just one of the guys to her brother and the Vader boys, but this year she's trying hard to dump her tomboy image and show them she's girlfriend material. She's all grown up and fills out a bikini very nicely. Her scheme is to date Sean, but her friendship with Adam, the youngest brother, often gets in the way.
A
dam and Sean have spent their entire lives fighting. If Adam has something, Sean wants it. If Adam has Lori, it stands to reason that Sean will want her, too.
S
et in an Alabama lake community, Lori and Adam's romance is fresh, sweet and funny. Echols does a great job of showing the relationship between the brothers and the relations between the friends, both male and female.
