This compact companion volume to the successful Dorm Room Diet offers tools to manage a healthy lifestyle during college years and also later in life. It begins with an eating style questionnaire in Get Inspired, followed by 'a crash course in nutrition' in Get Informed (including game plans to avoid eating disasters in college Danger Zones like late-night studying).

Next comes Get Moving with a good set of exercises (the techniques explained and also illustrated in sketches) targeting different areas of the body. Exercise Log of Reps forms are provided to keep track of fitness time. This is followed in Get the Numbers by advice on vitamin supplementation, and on figuring out Basal Metabolic Rate, caloric needs and Target Heart Rate range. The remainder of the book is filled with Get Going journal pages to track success along with slip-ups (I rather like the sub-heading, Things I'd like to forget I ate).

Have a daughter, niece or young friend heading to college? The Dorm Room Diet Planner makes a great gift to encourage maintaining a healthy lifestyle during this huge transition.
