The Day Will Come
, author Judy Clemens has added the fourth book to her Stella Crown series. Stella is a dairy farmer who likes to ride a Harley, has the outline of a steer's head tattooed on the nape of her neck, and hates to wear a skirt. Rock-and-roll is one of her passions. The pageantry of a wedding makes her break out into a cold sweat. Package this all into one novel and you've got a unique woman who is self-assured but unsure of commitment.
S
tella's boyfriend Nick has not been himself lately and this has her worried. Maybe he's changed his mind and doesn't love her anymore. But, caught up in the whirlwind surrounding the wedding of her farm manager and very good friend, she's able to push her concerns to one side. Attending a concert that turns out to be tragically memorable, she loses sight of Nick in the midst of a bomb scare panic. When the dust clears, a woman has been murdered and Stella takes on the search for her killer. At the same time, she confronts the problem that Nick has confessed to her.
T
his is a delightful series that opens up the biker scene for me. Happily so. The work involved in running a dairy farm also opened my eyes a bit. Together, these form a neat background for a good story.
