Weezie
' Foley is divorced from her husband, Talmadge Evans III. She has been kicked out of her beloved home to live in the backyard carriage house. Now her ex lives in the house with his fiancée Caroline DeSantos, whom Weezie despises. The two women understandably hate each other, but when Weezie tries to preview an estate sale and finds Caroline's body, she becomes the first suspect in the case.

eezie's friend Be-Be is trying to set her up with the chef in her restaurant. When Weezie finally meets him, she realizes that he was her first love. Daniel is still taken by her and wants to hook up again. Weezie has other problems. Her mother drinks too much and refuses to enter a rehab center. She is also trying to find out who ended up buying pieces from the sale that was postponed after Weezie found Caroline's body. To top it all off, her ex-husband keeps showing up at the carriage house door to tell her what a mistake he made leaving her.

ary Kay Andrews created a wonderful story, with detailed descriptions of living in Savannah's historic homes. I loved reading about the houses and antiques. Uncle James is an endearing character - a lawyer who used to be a priest, he ends up being very helpful to Weezie. Gossip queen Merijoy also plays an important part in the story - if Merijoy knows something, soon enough, so will the rest of Savannah.
Savannah Blues
has a colorful cast of characters, a refreshing plot line, and a great mystery to keep you reading well into the night.
