here's a new kid on the block. And can he write! Suffering from jet lag and unable to sleep, I started Nick Santora's first novel,
Slip & Fall
, at 3:00 am and didn't put it down until I had finished it at 8:30 am. Good book.
B
obby Principe is a lawyer with scruples. He believed he could make a good living for himself and Janine, the wife he adored, by playing the game by the rules. Law is most important to him and he felt he could make a difference by being honest and aboveboard. How wrong can a person be? Ending up tied to the mob, he gets himself in the kind of bad trouble that could lead to being fitted for a pair of cement shoes before being dumped in the harbor.
Slip & Fall
starts off running and keeps up the same pace for the whole of the story. If anything, tension mounts by the page.
N
ick Santora's novel is the first to be published by Borders, who are selling it exclusively. Santora is a good choice for this honor as he has an impressive resumé. He is the writer and co-producer of
Prison Break
and has also written for
The Sopranos
,
Law & Order
, and
The Guardian
, in addition to multiple feature films. He practiced law before making his living by writing, and has used his legal skills to craft a memorable book. Don't miss it.
