eir Apparent
is the first in Twist Phelan's
Pinnacle Peak
series, now re-issued. The fourth in the series,
False Fortune
, will come out this Fall and a character in the first book will be reintroduced at that time. We're told that
Heir Apparent
has been revised to '
include another mystery, the writing has improved, but the characters remain basically the same.

J
oe McGuinness, a young attorney with a prestigious law firm in Pinnacle Peak, Arizona, is appalled at the
accidental
death of one of the managing partners. His first date with Mia Santiago culminates in the murder of Mia's employer and her son. A clerk at the law firm is found dead and cattle are missing from the ranch where Joe works off his housing.
A
fascinating insight into rodeo life is interwoven into this action-packed revision. The genuine characters bring a touch of reality into what could be an actual town, with believable players walking the streets and driving the rut-filled roads.
Heir Apparent
is a delightful book from an author who always brings a smile to my face. Write on, Twist.
