make the book worth reading. I didn't quite connect with the characters, although the story line itself kept my interest. The kidnapping and the negotiations that Julia had to deal with kept me on the edge of my seat. The second part of the story had a different feel from the first and a surprising conclusion. The story is well crafted, with an intriguing plot that keeps a reader's interest until the very end.
