But George is fiercely independent and will not listen to her brothers' advice. Harry is a sweet, quiet man who is very taken with George. He knows that they can't marry because of his standing in society and wants to do nothing to hurt her reputation, but he can't seem to keep his hands off of her. His sworn enemy, Silas Gainsville, is George's neighbor and also the magistrate. When Silas shows up at George's to accuse Harry of murdering the sheep, George tosses him out. She learns from Harry that there is a history with Silas. When Harry enlists his enemy's son to help him find the real sheep killer, George tags along. The Leopard Prince is a refreshing historical romance with a fairy tale told by George weaved through the story. George is a self-sufficient heroine, who finds herself falling for Harry as a man. Harry has some baggage that they have to deal with together but he finds himself unable to stay away from George. Can they find happiness despite the obstacles in front of them? Elizabeth Hoyt weaves a superb tale that will keep you reading long into the night.
