American Leah opens the new Cloud's Hill spa in Carrickwell, Ireland, bringing together three women who find themselves drawn in to the relaxation of the facility and the comfort supplied by the owner. Leah has her own past sadness, which make it easier for her to detect which women need the most pampering.

Cleo has just finished getting her college degree in hotel management and is ready to put her new skills to use at her parents' hotel, which seems to be losing guests rapidly. But her brothers scorn her suggestions and her parents do not take her seriously. When Cleo decides to check out the competition at the new spa, she falls in love with its serenity.

Mel, a high powered career woman who is also a mother, feels like everyone is down on her decision to keep her job. When one of her children is sick, she spends the morning at the doctor's, and when she arrives at work, fate steps in to make a decision for her. The guilt she feels at juggling motherhood and career seems to have taken over.

Daisy, a fashion buyer for a clothing boutique, is in love with her boyfriend and just wants to have a baby with him. He does not want to get married but they have been together for so long that Daisy doesn't care about swapping vows. Her dreams are shattered when an unexpected decision is made for her and she also turns to the spa for comfort.

Cathy Kelly has a knack for writing sensitive stories that are heartwarming and unique. All these women have different crises that bring them together in a place where they find reassurance in each other and in the magic hot tub. You will not want to put down Always and Forever once you start reading this touching story.
