Stella, Casey and Erin were all married by the same pastor. But that's not all they have in common. Said pastor died before he could sign their papers and now it turns out that their marriages are not legal! And all three are coping with different sets of problems that make them rethink the entire marriage deal.

Stella thought she had married the perfect man. Mark is rich, handsome and dotes on her endlessly. The only problem is, he has had a vasectomy and can't father children. He seems to expect her to be content acting as step-mother to his two grown daughters. Erin and her new husband David moved back to his hometown to buy a house close to his mother. Convinced that Erin isn't good enough for her son, she stops at nothing to be rid of her, even cooking with peanuts (to which Erin is deathly allergic). When mom-in-law moves in soon after the marriage, it looks like the last straw for Erin. Casey was mortified when Nick showed up without his tux on their wedding day. He said he needed more time but Casey gave him an ultimatum. Soon after they wed, Casey realized she had married an immature man without ambition. The three women are thrown together unexpectedly and create a bond, providing invaluable support to each other. The three men are trying to get their women back, but is it too late?

Beth Kendrick creates another great story with Nearlyweds. The three women - who would ordinarily have never become friends - form a relationship that helps them through the most trying time in their lives. The first year of marriage is always the toughest but when you throw in hostile in-laws, step-children, and holiday parties - not to mention the fact that the marriages aren't legal - the new brides' lives seem to spin out of control. Nearlyweds is a fabulous book, one you don't want to miss.
