wenty-five stories grace this anthology by authors including Meg Cabot, Marian Keyes, Lolly Winston, Emily Griffin, Laura Caldwell, Maggie Alderson and Pamela Ribon.
A
mong my favorites is Meg Cabot's
Reunion
. This story about a ten year class reunion is presented in the form of emails between two friends, who branch out to email people they knew in high school but did not interact with until now. The reality of the school reunion was easy for me to connect with and I enjoyed it immensely. Another wonderful story is
Only Some People
by Lolly Winston. An older man and his wife are constantly at each other, nitpicking about every detail of their daily lives. One day on a ride, when the man has a heart attack, they learn how much they really love and cherish each other. This is such a sweet story and one that really makes you think about life.
G
irls Night Out
offers an eclectic collection of reading material. Each story is very different, and each author has a unique style - the variety will keep you entertained. What I enjoy about reading an anthology with so many stories is that you always find a few more authors to check out at the book store. Another wonderful aspect of this book is that the proceeds go to
War Child
and
No Strings
(helping children affected by war).
