hen she's asked by a friend's neurotic twin sister to follow her husband Steve around New York, Iris takes the job. She needs the money and besides, she has a thing about cheating husbands. But even in crowded New York City, tailing someone isn't easy. Finding him in a compromising position proves even harder.

lthough Iris is not able to resolve Vickie's marital problems, word-of-mouth brings her other jobs and her unwanted business become successful despite her bumbling incompetence. Meanwhile Iris' interest in Steve is growing and it's personal, not job related. When he finds out she's following him, the only thing left to do is become a double-agent.
