Much to my delight. I was having withdrawal pangs. Agatha always makes for a good read, and The Perfect Paragon is a perfect example of her exploits. Agatha has opened a detective agency in the small Cotswold village she moved to after her retirement from her own London PR company. By hit or miss, she acquires employees who are put to work immediately trying to solve the murder of a young girl. Throw in a divorce case, a few missing animals, and various suitors and Agatha is off and running. Agatha is a crusty woman of fifty-something who really, reeeally wants a man. She's lonely and her two cats don't offer enough in the line of social contact. Her abrupt manner doesn't do much to endear her to her neighbors or to possible suitors. But there is something about her that is endearing. She wins her cases but not the heart of any man. Her policeman friend is always on Agatha's side when she pits her detecting skills against the local police, but he is too young for her. Besides, his parents are too tough for even Agatha to handle. Treat yourself to a copy of The Perfect Paragon and enjoy a fun few hours. It's worth your time.
