This episode opens mysteriously - and disturbingly - as one of the main characters (we're not shown who) learns from StarClan that their end is near. Who can it be? The Clans have settled in their new territories and are patrolling their boundaries, though the others - WindClan and its leader Onestar in particular - show little gratitude for the help that ThunderClan and Firestar have given them along the way. Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw continue at odds - she distrusts his closeness with his brother Hawkfrost, and he's jealous of her friendship with the protective Ashfur. And Leafpool fights her growing feelings for Crowfeather - as a Healer she cannot mate, especially with a Warrior from another Clan. While Firestar's daughters resist their feelings and their fates, unforeseen dangers are discovered in these new lands. Squirrelflight has a run-in with a fox and badger families are found and evicted by groups of cats in the Clans. Cats sicken after exposure to a shiny object oozing sticky liquid, dumped by Twolegs. Kittypet Daisy leaves her Nofurs for the wild, fearing that they will take her newborn kits from her. And Leafpool dreams of Tigerstar, while all the medicine cats foresee new menaces to the Clans' survival. After a warning from Midnight the badger, it all comes together in a final whirlwind of flight and Thunderclan's fight for its very survival. As the survivors gather, two old friend arrive out of the blue, setting the scene nicely for the next adventure in this thrilling saga - Sunset where we will find out the meaning of the prophecy - 'Before there is peace, blood will spill blood, and the lake will run red ...'
