A
fter reading Dutch Sheets'
Intercessory Prayer
, I was thrilled by the publication of
Authority in Prayer
and I was not disappointed. In this book the author shows Christians how to claim the authority given in Scripture through prayer to achieve all God has promised.
T
he writing style is straightforward and the author uses examples that bring points clearly home for readers. But this is not just a
feel good
book filled with amusing anecdotes. It uses Scripture straight from the Bible to instruct and inform about a Christian's responsibility and privilege to pray with authority. The author hasn't written a book to be read and enjoyed, but one to be meditated and acted upon.
A
fter clearly discussing the reasons for praying with authority and its origins, Dutch Sheets tells readers exactly what to do and why. How to pray for our government and other leaders, how to become the voice of God on earth, and how to tell forth God’s message with authority (that word again!) and clarity are all part of
Authority in Prayer
.
I
f you're feeling timid in your prayers, or don't know exactly what God wants from you or what He has called you to do -
Authority in Prayer
is an ideal resource. It's energizing, motivating, and couldn't come at a better time for our world today. This is an ideal book for group study and discussion - as well as action.
