The Big Bamboo
, Serge is offended that Hollywood no longer makes movies in Florida any more, feeling it's a slight to the state. He sets about correcting what he considers a wrong. His thinking, a little off the norm, makes so many of his actions seem outrageous. Maybe that's because they are.
H
is far out scheme just has to work. But not before bodies start falling by the wayside. (Did I mention Serge is a serial killer? But only the bad guys bite the dust. In spectacular ways. So I guess that makes it all right.) The characters that glide through the scenes are as audacious as the dialogue given them to speak in this take-off on the heads responsible for what we view on the wide screen.
S
erge's machinations are devious and brilliant. With a line of chatter that won't stop, he bewilders those he hopes will help him on his quest - occasionally bewildering the reader as well. But all his wild scenarios ultimately make sense and this bodacious story makes delightful reading.
