Chloe Sachs is heading down the aisle, a beautiful bride ready to share her wedding day with her handsome, successful groom-to-be. When the wine glass doesn't break to cement the ceremony (a family tradition), Chloe hears a voice that tells her to run and she does just that despite the stunned faces of watching guests.

Chloe has no idea what to do next. She moves into a house that was left to her grandmother, while repairs are being made on it. When a wall is torn down in the kitchen, she finds letters containing secrets that could change her whole outlook on life. She still has to return all the wedding gifts. She tries to wait until people are either not home or not looking to avoid the embarrassment of the whole ordeal. The only problem is that while she is skulking around hoping not to be seen, the same policeman keeps finding her. When Chloe's dog Jesse hurts his paw, she has to make an emergency appointment with the local vet. He is great with her dog and makes house visits to be sure Jesse is doing better. Chloe can't seem to get him out of her mind.

Eileen Rendahl has a writing style that captures your attention immediately. The characters are hilarious, with eccentric behaviors that make you laugh throughout. The unpredictable happenings sprinkled through the story kept me fascinated, constantly waiting for the next mishap. Un-Bridaled is not to be missed.
