my Sheldon, a flower shop manager residing in Baltimore, is still mentally recovering from a car wreck two years prior caused by a drunk driver. Though Amy survived, it killed her fiancé, Rick. Life takes an unfortunate turn for Amy, again, when she learns that the comfortable house she is renting is being sold to a developer and the flower shop is going out of business. Aside from her immediate family and her friend Wendy, Amy relies on her remaining sanity and her devoted kitty Trixie to help her through these changes.

my's life takes another interesting turn when she starts dating Henry Castle, a Latino attorney who has been a frequent customer of the flower shop. Henry is known for sending flowers regularly to his
bevy
of women, thanking them for an evening. Amy becomes one of those women - despite the inner voice telling her that it is not the smart thing to do. However, Amy's family and her friend Wendy have been pushing her to start dating again and Henry is just so satisfying to her - in bed, in the kitchen, and otherwise. That said, Amy knows that she is not the
only one
for Henry - so what is a girl to do?

is a frothy and light
chick lit
romance that explores Amy's life after the death of her fiancé - which, of course, largely focuses on her budding relationship with Henry. Amy is a likeable character and it is easy to see how Henry tempts her, even though she is a smart woman who knows better. While the story behind
Loves Me, Loves Me Not
is not unique, an interesting side plot involving Amy's friend adds to the interest.
