his is a sweet historical romance with engaging and headstrong characters. Mason and Rebekah make a wonderful couple - the reader realizes this long before they do. Each comes with baggage and is reluctant to trust the other. The children add humor and levity to each situation, making ideal chaperones for the journey. Real historical events, such as the Oklahoma Land Run, provide interesting detail and enhance the story. The characters also must learn to trust God in their lives. The spiritual message is light, yet makes an impact.
