A
ndrew Jack, the Moscow correspondent for
The Financial Times
, has drawn on his extensive experience of Russia and produced an excellent and very readable book. It's well written, with good insight into the recent history of Russia, and its author gives us a fascinating account of the power struggles, ambitions and intrigues which led to the legacy of the former Soviet Union.
T
his is a well informed book, with a good background on Putin's rise to power and the way he took over control and management of the Presidency of Russia. How Putin's strong character and ambition fueled his rapid rise is equally well depicted.
Inside Putin's Russia
would be of interest to anyone interested in the current events of Russia.
