J
apanese in 10 Minutes a Day
is aimed at making the everyday traveler or language enthusiast proficient in the language. The book is fun and educational, and will help you learn how to better communicate in Japanese.
I
t begins with simple phrases and sounds that can be pronounced by anyone. You are encouraged from the get-go, '
can you say this?
' Lessons are simple, concise and engaging, complete with crossword puzzles, stickers, and a set of flash cards at the back. You are enouraged to speak phrases and instantly apply all that you master. Use this book as a base to start learning to converse in Japanese or as an extra tool in language learning. I like the emphasis on 10 minutes a day as it gets you in the habit of absorbing something new, moving you steadily along the way to learning the language. I recommend the book to those wanting to brush up on a language familiar to them (as is my case), to those wanting to learn Japanese from scratch, and also to educators who can incorporate the book in their lesson plans.
T
hough hearing how the words sound, spoken by a native speaker, is valuable in learning any new language, if you simply want to self-teach with a book, you'll find this one effective. Use
Japanese in 10 Minutes a Day
to develop your confidence in conversing in Japanese. It makes language learning fun, simple and enjoyable.
