When Annabelle Granger inherits her grandmother's matchmaking business, she sees it as an excellent opportunity to prove to her business-savvy and super-achiever family - and to herself - that she is not the failure everyone perceives. Annabelle is certain that, with the proper motivation - and the right clientele - Perfect For You will become a huge success. Now all she has to do is convince the most eligible bachelor in Chicago that she can find him the 'perfect wife'.

Heath Champion has fought his way to the top to become the best sports agent in the country. A 'takes no prisoners' attitude and a solid and unbreakable business plan are the only things Heath truly understands. The time has now come for him to take a wife, his perfect mate, a woman to personify the 'ultimate symbol of his success'. He doesn't have time for the dating game, so only the most extraordinary and efficient matchmaker will do. Why then, does he allow a red-haired screw-up like Annabelle Granger to steamroll him into agreeing to let her find him a wife?

With only a few weeks to fulfill her contract, Annabelle goes into high gear. So what if she takes the odd shortcut and bribes a few of her closest (very married) friends to pose as dates with false credentials. This will give her that much more time to outmaneuver matchmaker extraordinaire Portia Powers - who's as rich and ruthless as Heath Champion, and just as determined to find him the perfect mate. Soon everyone in Chicago seems to be involved in Heath Champion's search, including Annabelle's loyal book club, the first to understand that Annabelle might be in way over her head - and on the fast track to a broken heart.

Susan Elizabeth Phillips has created another gem in Match Me If You Can. Annabelle is a real charmer and readers will fall under her quirky spell from page one. Heath is another matter and Phillips is to be commended for her bang-on characterization of a hard, ruthless man who'll do whatever it takes to win a client; a man who doesn't have a clue when it comes to falling in love. There's also a wonderful sub-plot involving the odd romance that blossoms between the driven Portia Powers and Heath's laid-back friend and bodyguard, Bodie Gray. If you're in the mood for a feel good and often hilarious read, don't pass this one by.
