Gwen Traynor is mortified when she is dumped at her rehearsal dinner by someone she thought was the perfect man. She isn't wild over the idea of starting to date again. But after launching her cell phone into traffic when it irritates her, she meets Alex Coughlin, and he wants to see her again. He does seem like a decent partner for re-starting the dating game.

Gwen is starting to think that Alex could become more than just a date for Friday nights when she gets a new preschool patient, Leo. His mother, Harmony, seems like the wacky soap opera girlfriend that Alex used to have. The relationship gets sticky when Harmony decides to tell Alex that he has a child. Alex and Harmony do not seem to get along, and have major issues about how to raise Leo. Harmony believes that, for the past few years, Leo has been just fine. In the meantime, Leo has bonded with Gwen, and in all the chaos, Gwen's and Alex's relationship has fallen apart. Can they sort out the mess and get it together enough to make every one happy?

Exes and Ohs is an engaging story that draws the reader in with its characters' silly quirks and mishaps. Gwen was a poor unwanted bride who decided to take a chance on a new first date - that turned into a romance gone wrong. I loved the way that Beth Kenderick brought the story together with Harmony's odd character. She added a humorous touch, and I had a hard time putting this book down.
