Having spent her entire life to date living for her family and for her men, she is looking for a new and improved existence. In Paper Moon, she finds friends, love, and a place to call home. Juanita's desire to travel lures her away from Paper Moon for a brief spell. She's called back when she inherits a Bed and Breakfast that may be haunted. Juanita's pulled in a thousand directions by her wishes, her dreams, and her family. She takes her independence into her own hands. Juanita meets and falls in love with Jess. He supports her and has the intuition to understand what she wants, and the sensitivity to help her see if she can find what is missing in her life. This is a wonderful, witty story. Juanita's personality makes you fall in love with her. You want her decisions to bring her a happy life. I applauded her efforts to achieve independence and the way she took her happiness into her own hands. I would recommend reading Dancing on the Edge of the Roof first, as it gives helpful background on the characters. In On The Right Side of a Dream, Sheila Williams brings humor and a great story to a thought provoking subject.
