Philip Margolin is a consummate storyteller, capable of keeping the reader on edge throughout an entire book and bringing the satisfying read to an electrifying end.

In Wild Justice, he has once again brought his readers - his fans - a page-turning, mind-numbing experience. Dr. Vincent Cardoni, a surgeon in a Portland hospital, is accused of drug taking and dealing, trafficking in body parts, and, most ghastly of all, torture and murder. Not easy accusations to overlook. Enter his ex-wife Justine who is convinced he is guilty. Theirs had not been an amicable marriage. Cardoni manages to extricate himself from the mess, but at great cost to himself. A harrowing series of serial murders in previous years surface and seem to relate to this case. A father/daughter lawyer team take on the legal intricacies and become enmmeshed at a personal level also.

Wild Justice is a wild ride through a carefully plotted story that only picks up speed as it continues, never slowing down for a breath. The well-rounded characters, some of whom you will not like but whom you will get to know well, are evenly balanced between good and evil. It makes you realize that you never really know someone else, even when you are close.
