is 3rd in a series that follows the ups and downs of Westchester middle school life for girls who are part of (or not) the in-crowd, the exclusive

. The episode combines meanness with
musical chairs
changes in friendships. There's spying, betrayal of secrets, lies and manipulation in this Macchiavellian middle school.
A
licia, one of Massie's core foursome, is restive; she forms her own clique, with new friend Olivia (whom she calls
Faux-livia
) as
beta
to her
alpha
. This makes Massie very insecure, so she invites Claire into her own group, despite Claire's interest in Cam. And Alicia tries to build up her rep by exploiting a meeting with Cam's
hot
older brother Harris.

, when Alicia and Olivia switched ballot boxes, they're offered modelling jobs with

. Getting their own back for past treachery, Massie and company crash the modeling party (literally at one point). And, despite her mom's lending her
How to Win Friends and Influence People
, Massie's deserted by all her gang for a while.
E
ven with her imperial delusions of grandeur, you have to admire Massie's cocky spirit this time around. There's lots of insecurity under the surface and, despire all their maneouvering and manipulations, Massie and Alicia miss each other.
Revenge of the Wannabes
is tons of fun, much better than episode 2, and it ends with an exciting new role for Alicia.
