hen Camille's daughter Jordan announces her engagement to James, Camille's excitement is mixed with dread. She feels too young to be the mother of the bride, and she is best friends with the mother of the groom. To make matters worse, her ex-husband Creed, whom she still loves, wants to be involved and to have his band play for his daughter's wedding. It turns out that his feelings for Camille have not changed in the least - he still looks at her with longing despite the fact that they broke up twelve years before.

hough this book is a good choice for mothers and daughters embarking on planning a wedding together, I was disappointed in the romance. It was never explained in detail why Camille and Creed broke up, and the beginning of the story was a little slow for my taste. I did, however, look into the future and became teary eyed as I could see myself planning a wedding with my own daughter. Give a copy of
Once Upon A Wedding
to the mother of the bride, to take her mind off the jitters of her daughter's big day.
