This surprising little book has wonderful concepts to live by, encapsulated between the covers. I was intrigued by the title, The Tao of Cow, and especially by the author's name Dolly Mu. When I opened this little volume, I expected to find cartoon-like drawings with silly legends under them. Instead I found words of wisdom and delightful bovine photos.

Here are some examples. 'Everyday is an opportunity to give of yourself' is above the photo of several cows giving their milk. 'Stampede not through life, lest you miss the majesty of the world around you' is partnered with a drawing of a stampede. 'A steady mind and a steady hand will always hit the target' features a stream of milk being squirted to a cat's mouth. 'Believe not everything you hear' pictures two cows gossiping. 'The world needs both leaders and followers' shows three cows, one leading and two following.

You get the idea. The Tao of Cow : What Cows Teach Us is a charming little book for daily inspiration, and a delightful one to give, especially to someone who enjoys bovine collectibles.
