Clive Cussler, along with Paul Kemprecos, has written another Kurt Austin swashbuckler. The first three novels featuring our hero Austin - Fire Ice, Blue Gold and Serpent - provided that taste of adventure that we all enjoy in our lives. Go for it again - read White Death to wallow in suspense, mystery, intrigue, villains, and those guys in the white hats, the men and women of NUMA.

After executing an underwater rescue of men trapped in a sunken ship, Austin and his sidekick Joe Zavala discover a great deal more involved than the lives of a few men. A multinational corporation is hiding the true thrust behind their fish farms – a fiendish attempt to control the world's fish market. Even after being shot at, blown up, and knifed several times, Austin still manages to pull off the adventure of the year. Like the other Kurt Austin novels, White Death is fast-paced, tightly written, flows with great expertise and supplies a rousing good story. Cussler also manages with his wonderful fiction to flag serious environmental issues, of which we should all be aware. We'd all best clean up our act before our oceans become too polluted to sustain us.

In White Death, Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala of the NUMA Files once again bring excitement and adventure in a rousing tale of right triumphing over wrong.
