his is the twentieth in James Grippando's popular series starring renowned criminal defense attorney Jack Swyteck in Miami. Jack's wife is undercover FBI agent Andie Henning and they have a small daughter, Righley.

his episode's Prologue shows a couple (Helena and FBI Agent Owen) anxiously awaiting the birth of their adopted son. They're shocked when the teen mother, Elle, decides to keep her baby. Elle's mother indicates she will change her mind - for an exorbitant fee.

ast forward six years, when we learn that Helena and Owen did adopt Austen but their relationship worsened and now Owen (who has been running a firearms disposal company) has been found dead in their kitchen. Elliott Stafford is suspected of murdering Owen and asks Jack to defend him.
A
fter a shocker of a revelation about Elliott's past, he claims his right to remain silent and does so, even with his lawyer, who wonders whether this is due to guilt, or an attempt to protect someone else. A handwriting analysis gives Jack his first break, and Andie his second.

, another engrossing addition to the series, ends with a significant personal decision by Jack and Andie. I look forward to more!
