t's always great fun to spend time with Donna Andrews and her lead character Meg Langslow (along with her ever growing entourage of friends, family and Caerphilly neighbours), especially around the holidays.
T
his thirty-eighth (!) in the cozy mystery series takes place just before Christmas, when two cousins of Meg's (lifelong adversaries) have planned competing weddings at the same venue, the Caerphilly Inn. Meg's Mother is worn down by the battling brides, so Meg does what she can to smooth things over.
H
er discovery of the dead wedding photographer makes her peacekeeping even more challenging! The golden wings in the title refer to golden eagles. As we expect, Meg solves the case, sorts out the baleful brides (who reconcile with each other) and ends aptly listening to the
Twelve Days of Christmas
.
