The Instructor
as the second in T. R. Hendricks's military thriller series starring retired Marine Warrant Officer/SERE instructor Derek Harrington. In the first episode he took down a domestic terrorist group known as
Autumn’s Tithe
in upstate New York.
N
ow, in exchange for FBI protection for his wife and son, Derek has been leading a small quick reaction force and extraction team to locate other camps of the organization so that the Feds can neutralize them. Unfortunately, ex-FBI Special Agent Hannah Kittle (Sarah to the terrorists with whom she works) has her own plan in place.
C
omplicating matters further, a new Special Agent in Charge has been appointed to head the operation. Samuel Liu has had no field experience and is all in for personal glory. Derek does not approve of his ruthless methods. When Intelligence finds signs of one last camp in remote Kentucky, Derek's team springs into action - and escalating violence.
L
iu continues to make bad calls, and too many die on both sides (including camp women and children). Liu soon needs a scapegoat - and picks Derek. Meanwhile, Sarah goes after Derek and his family, in an explosive finale, that leaves him with a very hard decision to make.
