ational Park Service Special Agent Michael Walker (who has a prosthetic for his left foot) is dispatched to New York as agent-in-charge. He heads to the scene of carnage, where he finds FBI Agent Gina Delgado assigned as lead of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Increasing the pressure of the investigation are threats of further attacks against US cultural icons.

ichael talks to Danny, who shares what he saw and the video on his phone. He works with Gina. Complicating matters is the Secretary of the Interior, once Michael's father-in-law. Turlidge blames Michael for his daughter's death and uses his power against him.
