Mickey7 introduced Mickey Barnes, an Expendable on the Niflheim ice world colony. He died there six times in very unpleasant ways, and was revived by resource-intensive technology that regenerates a human body after death, recovering memories saved at regular intervals. In the first episode, Mickey7 made contact with an alien species on Niflheim and saved the colony.

He's never been popular with colony leader Commander Marshall, who's only let him live because he believes that Mickey can prevent the aliens from using an antimatter bomb against them. As this sequence opens, Mickey (now racked up with Nasha) is no longer an Expendable, so Marshall has assigned him to cleaning rabbit hutches. However, all is not well with the colony, which depends on antimatter (now running very low) for its survival.

Now Marshall demands that Mickey retrieve the antimatter bomb from the alien creepers. When he makes contact he learns that they are in conflict with another group (hostile spiders) and will only help him if he helps them negotiate with the spiders. Alien Speaker accompanies Mikey, his best friend Berto, Nasha, and three others on a rover. Berto brings the motored ultralight glider that he invented - and it plays a key role.

There's plenty of anguish and action before it's all over, and not all of them make it. Then the ending begs the question of whether we'll see more of Mickey# in a future episode. I sure hope so.
