he leads, rule-following Avery and impulsive Zib, became best friends despite their differences. Together, they climbed a wall to a different world, with its own strange rules and laws. They befriended Crow Girl (who transforms into a

), and drowned girl Niamh, from a city deep below the ice. After shared adventures, they walked across the Saltwise Sea on the Improbable Road.

ow the road bursts beneath them. They're saved from drowning by a kind mosasaur that swallows them, feeds them, and expels them near land. Unfortunately, it's the lands of the Air, domain of the Queen of Swords '

'. They meet Jack Daw, the queen's son. Despite his attempts to help them, they end up in great peril.
J
ack advises Zib to find the room where the queen stores her stolen hearts. She succeeds and the episode ends with our friends back on the Improbable Road, but with an addition to their group - all ready for new adventures.
