Violet Maxwell is the eldest of triplet sisters in an illustrious family of witches (her gran Edie is the Prima Witch), but has shown no sign of magic herself, making her an outsider. As the story opens, she's attending her sister Rose's Witch Bond announcement at a gala event in the Whispering Pines Ski Resort. Skiing out of control, Violet is rescued by alpha wolf shapeshifter Lincoln Thorne, with whom she has a history, not one he's proud of. Over time, her antagonism shifts into something warmer. Their situation gets complicated when Supernatural Laws give them deadlines to find mates. They decide to fake it to buy themselves time. Gradually fake becomes real as Violet also discovers she's not magic-less after all, but really quite a powerful witch. Not the Witch You Wed is an easy escapist read.
