is a seasonal feel good novella in his popular
Irish Country
series, starring Dr. Fingal Flahertie O'Reilly and his junior partner, Dr. Barry Laverty, in the Ulster village of Ballybucklebo, County Down.

t's 1965 and the village is preparing for the holiday. Fingal has been wed for six months to Kitty, whom he met as a student nurse in Dublin in 1934. They had lost touch for decades and this is their first Christmas as man and wife. Their housekeeper, Kinky (who has the Sight and is now engaged), will make it a fine one indeed.

s always, folk bring troubles to their door. O'Reilly's good friend, Dr. John MacNeill, asks for his help in assessing the health of his black sheep brother who has come from Australia to reconcile with his siblings. There's an outbreak of chickenpox, and a mother whose little girl is ill.
B
etween Fingal and Barry, they sort it all out, and end up with the merriest Christmas ever (Fingal even playing Santa)!
An Irish Country Yuletide
is the perfect read to accompany Christmas carols and eggnog.
