hrongs of Oktoberfest crowds had descended on the lovely town of Leavenworth, Washington but are now on their ways home. The town's residents are taking a breather 'til the Christmas season is upon them.

eavenworth is famous for its many craft beers. Sloan Krause and her partner are working on a new line of their signature craft beers. They hope that a hoppy holiday pine and a chocolate-hazelnut stout will appeal to both old - and hopefully new - customers of their line.

ouncilman Kristofer Cooper throws a rock at their plans for a profitable holiday season. He intends to banish beer from the town, which would destroy the bottom line for the town's brewers. The councilman's idea is not taken lightly, so when he is found murdered a sigh of relief is heard throughout Leavenworth. But his murderer must be found and prosecuted.

loan and her partner get to work at what they do well. They are determined to find the culprit and let folk get back to planning new beers and decorating their beautiful town. If beer is your thing, you can't help but enjoy a mystery redolent of its brewing.
