I enjoyed it. Maddie James has just tackled renovating her grandfather's house from a home into a cat café. She is also scoping out possible properties to open a juice bar. On top of all that, she feels her relationship with a handsome dog groomer might be getting serious. But – there always seems to be a 'but'. A very popular author who was using Maddie's café as his writing hideaway is found floating in a canal. To top off a bad day, a woman appears in the café and insists that Maddie's cat JJ is hers!! The Tell Tail Heart is an ideal book for light reading. It has mystery, humor, a touch of romance, and a protagonist full of energy and determination.
