They seemed happy. Until the night Gideon was found dead. Rashad is ultimately convicted of his husband’s murder! Four years go by. Jane Lawless's father Ray was the original defense attorney on the case. Rashad's brother contacts Ray with what he feels is new evidence to prove his brother's innocence. Jane and her father take on the re-opened case. Rashad is not only in prison but is a grieving widower. Author Hart throws a number of suspects into the puzzling case, almost asking her many readers to solve what can be considered a miscarriage of justice. If you attempt this, don't for heaven's sake, read the last chapter before you finish the novel. Twisted at the Root is a good book. It's well-written and most definitely worth your time to read.
