A
uthor Alafair Burke has done it once again. Written what I consider another bestseller. She has taken the relationship of two sisters, Chloe and Nicky, and twisted said relationship into a sordid tale of both sisters married to the same man! At different times, of course.
T
he first marriage produced a son, Ethan, who now lives with Nicky and his father, Adam Macintosh. Chloe, feeling herself not a good mother, approves of the arrangement. When her marriage faltered because of drugs and alcohol, Nicky became Ethan's new mother.
W
hat seems like a perfect marriage dissolves when Adam is found murdered. Ethan is arrested for the crime and the sisters put their animosities aside to prove his innocence.
W
riting a review for this captivating novel proves to be a difficult task. I don't want to give anything away that might be a spoiler for readers.
The Better Sister
has a dynamite plot that makes this book so hard to put down.
