I
f you have not been reading The Rowland Sinclair mysteries, why not? I just finished the sixth in this absolutely delightful series. This one,
A Murder Unmentioned
, is another feather in author Sulari Gentill's cap.
G
entill peppers her mysteries with characters you would really like to meet. (Well, maybe not the murderer.) The period of time – the 1930s – gives the reader a glimpse of England in the golden age of crime writing. Gentill describes the clothing of the times, some of which I'm sure could be worn today.
H
er plots are intricate and dare readers to solve the crimes.
A Murder Unmentioned
is as compelling as the previous novels if not even better. The author brings people who seem as real as you or I into the story to add a sense of credibility to the plot.
S
inclair's father, a man who ruled his household with an iron fist, had been murdered ten years previously. That murder had never been solved. Now it seems as though every member of the family is a suspect. Treat yourself and obtain a copy of a really good book.
