The Spying Moon
opens, she has been assigned to Maple River, hundreds of miles from where her mother vanished.
K
endall would like to be posted closer but has no choice. Her Maple River colleagues didn't want her there either. She is partnered with Nate Duncan, unpopular because of his family's criminal connections.
W
hen Sammy Peterson is murdered, Kendall and Nate are assigned to the murder squad. The plot gets complicated and the suspect list grows. A break-and-enter call reveals another body, and Kendall suspects a connection to Sammy's death.
T
he Spying Moon
will keep you guessing. I liked Kendall. She has a goal and is determined to find out what happened to her mother. The other characters could be your neighbors if you didn't mind a few shady people in the bunch. They sure keep the action going. Sandra Ruttan has five other novels under her belt – all good reading.
