Here's a very timely volume, Glimmer of Hope: How Tragedy Sparked a Movement, written by the March for Our Lives Founders, and with 100% of net proceeds going to the March For Our Lives Action Fund. Contributors are Adam Alhanti, Dylan Baierlein, John Barnitt, Alfonso Calderon, Sarah Chadwick, Jaclyn Corin, Matt Deitsch, Ryan Deitsch, Sam Deitsch, Brendan Duff, Emma González, Chris Grady, David Hogg, Lauren Hogg, Cameron Kasky, Jammal Lemy, Charlie Mirsky, Kyrah Simon, Delaney Tarr, Bradley Thornton, Kevin Trejos, Naomi Wadler, Sofie Whitney, Daniel Williams, and Alex Wind.

It's all about activism to end gun violence in the United States. The movement founders were spurred to do something after the terrible mass shooting February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. People around the world were inspired to see young people standing up to be counted (as they did in the sixties), and marching to demand needed action that their elders have proved themselves unable to take - despite a steady stream of shootings destroying countless lives. These young people have gone on to lead a push for youth voter registration and engagement, so key to maintaining a healthy democracy ... 'please don't just vote / red or blue, / but vote for our friends who will never get a chance to.'

All the contributors' voices take turns, in the book, telling how they felt about what happened, and the steps they took to do something about it afterwards - a rally, a social media movement, lobbying, town halls, the marches, school walkouts, the Road to Change tour. They have all learned that their votes matter, and I hope they never forget. The book ends on ten commonsense reforms endorsed by March for Our Lives, with a link to further details at marchforourlives.com/policy.
