Gregory Norwood was Minneapolis's favorite philanthropist Ė that is until his body was found by a photojournalist looking for a candid shot of the billionaire at his home.

At first, Norwood's death is believed to be a suicide, caused by grief over his son's overdose. But when the photographer's body is found, the whole picture changes. The case is turned over to two city detectives who prove stymied and subsequently consult Monkeewrench Software's founder, computer genius Grace MacBride (The Guilty Dead is the ninth of the Monkeewrench series.)

Macbride and her crew delve into the background of the Norwood family and uncover many secrets. It turns out that not only are two people dead, but many more lives are at stake. Hold your breath and read on. The Guilty Dead is a wonderful thriller. Don't miss it.

Many technicalities of today's computerized world are uncovered and leave me in the dark. But, so what! I donít have to understand today's telecommunications to enjoy a finely plotted and well-written novel.
