This 6th episode in the teen Superman series explores the topic of telepathy ... and the risk it poses to Buried Secrets. The telepath is Clark's hot substitute Spanish teacher, Lilia Sanchez, who was in Smallville that fatal day in 1989 when the meteorites fell.

At the same time, this story further explores Clark's relationships with both Lana and Lex, as he comes into minor conflict with each of his friends. Lana shares ambivalence about her feelings for Whitney (who has enlisted in the Marines) with her best friend, Clark, who doesn't always want to hear these kinds of confidences. And Clark and Lex are both attracted to the lovely Lilia. Aside from this focus on feelings, Clark does the 'levitating thing' once more, and, as usual, must save friends from disaster, despite his own danger from green chunks of rock - Smallville sure seems to be a dangerous place to live!

Lilia certainly comes to that conclusion and leaves with parting advice for Clark, 'Don't keep what's in your heart a buried secret', leaving the reader to wonder how much she really knows. Buried Secrets is another fun Smallville episode, adding telepathy to the powers of speed, flight and invisibility showcased before. I wonder what special talents will show up next?
