T
he eighth cozy novel of author Ellie Alexander's series -
Till Death Do Us Tart
– is another feather in her cap. Torte, the bakeshop in the small town of Ashland, Oregon, is hosting a surprise wedding celebration!
T
he bakeshop's owner, Jules Capshaw, is throwing a wedding for her mother and the man to be her stepdad. Not an easy task when she has invited the whole small town to celebrate with the happy couple. But the invitees must not breathe a word to said couple!
O
f course, the wedding is not the only surprise in town. A murder takes its place among the things that must be worked out. A sip of poisoned wine does the trick. But did it kill the person it was intended for?
A
good plot. But equally intriguing are the many pastries and delicacies produced for the wedding reception. Readers are treated to the actual processes taken to create the wedding feast. A bonus is the inclusion of recipes at the back of the book. Tasty beach reading.
